~Creativity~

First of all, I have to thank my dear friend Kelli Strowd for bringing out the creative touch in me! One Sunday after one of our Auburn game weekends, she and I decided to have a day of being crafty and make a couple of projects. She is so good at everything she does!

My first project.
I made this door hanger out of burlap, painted it and stuffed it with some 'stuffing'. She of course had to sew around the edges for me because as we all know, I can't even sew a button on a shirt!

In the meantime, I have been itching to start painting on canvas. She helped me start this project, and then I finished the artwork at home the next week:

Since then, I have painted more and can't stop! I do want to attend some type of art class at some point to get all the extra advice.

I painted this for one of my best friends that recently got married....post to come soon.

How can you have Christmas without reindeer? I love the Auburn touch I put on these.
This is the latest painting that I completed.

Taylor had to complete a project for Social Studies at school of a land form. The first thought that came to mind was....a volcano! Since we just went to Costa Rica in June, it was definitely our decision. Adam was a huge help with making it and Taylor was so proud of his little volcano. Adam went to Taylor's school when he had to present it and helped with the erupting. All the kids thought it was super cool to see the red lava coming out the top! (We experimented at home with the erupting and learned the hard way that it doesn't take much ingredients!!)

I'm sure that we will have many more projects to do for school and I'm definitely going to continue my creative side...so stay tuned for more to come!
